| About Us Corporate Background History - NOW IN OUR 21st YEAR!
Our
company has been in operation since 1990. We originally traded in
Western Australia as Ceasefire Pty Ltd, operating as agents for Central,
Spraysafe a
 nd Globe fire sprinkler equipment via Lansdale Fire Services - Melbourne (now Globe Sprinklers). From
1986 to 1998 we previously represented Fire Protection Inspection
Services in W.A. by carrying out independent third party certification
of fixed fire systems.
Aside from certification
services we have, in the past done consulting in fire protection for
Norman, Disney & Young, Arup and the Fire Protection Association of
Australia.
After moving to Melbourne in 1999 the
company name was changed to reflect the emphasis on consulting and
certification relating to fixed fire protection and detection
systems.Since 2007 all inspection works have been done under the trading
name of SystemSurvey.
Operational History to 2010
Since 2001 we have concentrated on developing our own certification and
consulting services. This has resulted in a major ongoing contract to
provide both services to Woolworths in Victoria and Tasmania.
Other
specific project consulting work has also continued, including work for
such clients as BIC Australia, TMP Worldwide (Monster.com), Huntsman
Chemicals, Cadbury Schweppes, Zinifex (Hobart) and Alcoa (Point Henry).
Notable inspection & approval projects include Origin Energy
(BassGas), Bendigo Bank Data Centre, IBM Data Centre and extensions to
Hewlett Packard plus numerous residential projects of various sizes,
including high rise.
Specialist Services - Historical Buildings
Over
a span of 40 years we have built up knowledge of the alternative
approaches needed to accomodate the special needs of providing fire
protection to historical buildings. These include approval processes to
get sprinklers into the Princes Theatre, Melbourne and consulting on the
refurbishment of the original 125 year old WA State Library in its
conversion to an extension of the WA State Museum. More recently we have
been involved in inspection & certification of new fire systems
(both sprinklers and fire detection) in several old buildings in
Ballarat & Bendigo. Early in 2008 we were part of a team providing a
full Fire Safety overview of Melbourne Town Hall and the adjacent
Council Offices.
